Document Description
The City of Hanford, in conjunction with Caltrans and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), plans to construct a series of new railroad spurs from the existing BNSF Railway Company rail line onto the southwest part of Kings Industrial Park. Currently, the BNSF rail lines run through the center of the Industrial Park. The 30 +/- acre project site consists of 9 vacant parcels. The project involves the construction of 4 separate but inter-connected railroad spurs in phases. The spur lines will directly link selected parcels within the park to a major mode of transportation. The project will be funded through the FHWA's Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program and administered by Caltrans.
