Document Description
The Project is located on the western shore of the Salton Sea, adjacent to the City of Salton City and about 3.3 miles east of Highway 86, in the County of Imperial, State of California; Latitude 33.335880 N, Longitude 115.948680 W. Project Description: The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number EPIMS_IMP_23667_R6, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, the California Department of Water Resources. The Project is limited to vegetation enhancement and dust suppression activities on recently exposed playa that are implemented by increasing surface roughness (engineered roughness), installation of sand fences, creating furrows to promote stormwater spreading, establishing and expanding native vegetation, establishing groundwater supplies, and monitoring and assessment of project components. To implement the Project, improvements to access roads, such as grading and/or gravel placement, will need to be completed in certain areas.
