Document Description
The proposed project involves the adaptive reuse of an existing historical building at 710 Wilshire Boulevard into 55 hotel rooms and 7,000 sf of commercial space; the construction of 230 hotel rooms with 7,000 sf of meeting space and 8,000 sf of retail and restaurant uses adjacent to the existing building; and 24 dwelling units on an exitsing surface parking lot. A Development Agreement is requested for deviations from the zoning ordinance for a parking reduction of approximately 100 spaces and for a 50% residential floor area discount for the 24-unit housing project. A General Plan Amendment may be necessary for the housing project. The existing approximately 7,000 sf commercial structure at 718 Wilshire Boulevard and surface parking lots throughout the site would be demolished to accommodate the proposed project.
