Document Description
The Project will consist of construction of a 150 Megawatt (MW) photovoltaic solar energy facility and a transmission interconnection line (T-line) on approximately 1,145.55 acre. The Amendment will increase the permit from 90 days to 21 months, increase the disturbance acreage by 478.26 acres by adding Blocks 4-5, and will increase the direct number of lizards taken by morality/injury/relocation. Construction will continue in Blocks 1-3 and will begin in Blocks 4-5. Once construction is complete Operation and Maintenance activities will occur within the solar site and continue along the transmission line. This will result in total impacts to 1,145.55 acres of flat-tailed horned lizard (Phrynosoma mcallii) habitat. The project is expected to result in incidental take of flat-tailed horned lizard, which is designated as a candidate species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation. The Amendment will extend the time the Permittee has to provide compensatory Habitat Management lands from 18 months to 36 months ending in March 1, 2018.
