Document Description
The City of San Gabriel is proposing to construct a new and expanded Police Department facility at the Del Mar Avenue site, and relocate the existing public works facility to the Grand Avenue site. Both sites are owned by the City and within the City limits. The Del Mar Avenue site currently houses the City's police and public works facilities and contains a number of single-story buildings, parking areas, maintenance structures, and outdoor work areas. The Grand Avenue site currently consists of a preschool, a community facility, and a small-scale solid waste transfer station. The relocation of the existing public works facility from its current location on the Del Mar Avenue site to the Grand Avenue site will be a critical step for the City toward provides adequate space for a planned police headquarters at the Del Mar Avenue site. Upon relocation of the public works facility, the City would construct a new and expanded police facility at the Del Mar Avenue site.
