Document Description
Clean Harbors Los Angeles LLC, (formerly Safety-Kleen, Laidlaw Environmental Services, and Oil Processing Company) applied for the renewal of their Hazardous Waste Facility Permit for the treatment, storage and transfer of off-site hazardous waste. Clean Harbors Los Angeles currently operates six hazardous waste management units (HWMUs) at this facility, and is permitted to construct 2 additional HWMUs. The six existing and permitted HWMU operations include the following areas: - Container Storage Warehouse - Container Processing Building - Container Storage Area B - Roll-off Container Storage Area - Wastewater Treatment Area; and - New Container Storage Pad. The two HWMUs that are permitted but not yet constructed are the: - Rail Transfer Station; and - Wastewater Treatment Plant modification Issuance of the permit will allow the facility to continue to operate the existing Hazardous Waste management Units and build the Rail Transfer Station unit and Wastewater Treatment Plant modification.
