- Document Description
- The overall goal of this project is to assess the reliability of PM modeling for Central California during the late summer/early fall of a recent year using EPA's new Community Multiscale Air Quality model and to determine their sensitivities to precursor compounds, especially those emitted during power generation. Specific objectives include: 1) Use this modeling platform to determine the contribution of power generation in the late summer and early fall to the lack of compliance with the annual average PM standard in the Central Valley; 2) Evaluate how the control strategies for each of these two pollutants, ozone and PM, might change if they are considered together
