Document Description
The project will relocate an unscreened water diversion pump used to extract water from Coon Creek through Bunkham Slough. Currently the pump is located in Bunkham Slough, approximately 75 yards from the main channel of Coon Creek. The pump is used to draw water purchased from South Sutter Irrigation District that is delivered via Coon Creek. The current means of extracting water is problematic. Bunkham Slough must be dredged or excavated annually to allow sufficient flow of water to reach the pump location, as a substantial amount of sediment is regularly deposited at the confluence of Bunkham Slough and Coon Creek.
