Document Description
Eight cubic yards of sand and gravel will be used to construct a temporary coffer dam approximately 6 feet wide and 85 feet long. The temporary coffer dam will dewater the area around the tailrace gates. The gates will be removed in order to replace tailrace j-bulb seals, sand blast the gates, and paint the gates. Lead-x, a heavy metals scavenger, will be used for the sand blasting to counter any lead based paints that may be removed.
