DTSC proposes to grant a variance pursuant to Health and Safety Code section 25143 to the Southern California Edison Company at the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station (SONGS) on 5000 Pacific Coast Highway in San Diego County. The Variance would allow a specified elementary neutralization tank system to continue to operate without secondary containment meeting the standards of California Code of Regulations, title 22, section 66265.193(j).
