Document Description
The City is preparing an EIR to analyze the environmental impacts associated with the Comprehensive Land Use Update. The proposed project includes: 1) General Plan update, Land Use Code update, and Climate Action Plan; 2) amendment to the Downtown Specific Plan and Housing Element to ensure consistency with the update; and 3) five projects. These documents will supersede the current General Plan, which was last updated in 1996, and portions of the current Municipal Code. The proposed project is intended to provide the control and regulation necessary to ensure that growth occurs in an orderly fashion. Upon completion, the General Plan and Implementation Measures, Land Use Code, and Climate Action Plan will be made available for public review and download on the City's website (http:///www.ci.national-city.ca.us).
