Document Description
Repair damaged roadway approaches to 11 bridges resulting from settling due to an earthquake. Differential settlement from 1 to 2 inches occurred at seven locations, representing a safety hazard and potential for damage to private property. Work to include grinding and reconstructing approached, constructing detour and providing 24-hour traffic control. All work will be limited to developed areas, and shoulder backing will be minimized; no vegetation will be removed. Permits are not needed. The traveling public is the project beneficiary.
