- The California Department of Public Health is a responsible agency for this prohect. The City of Huron proposes to evaluate the following project alternatives: 1) No Action 2) Reuse of the existing plant and provide necessary upgrades or additional process units required to meet the future DBP requirements, 3) Design of a new works facility to completely replace the existing facility. The planning study will also include, analyzing viable solutions for meeting the treatment requirements set by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), analysis of chemicals that will be tested for the purpose of determining the most effective alternative, completion of an initial study and additional environmental documentation as required, preparation of a preliminary design report to describe the current system and illustrate the difference between alternatives, and completion of a topographic survey and design engineering plans and specifications.
