Document Description
CAL Fire and the El Dorado Hills Fire Department propose to use a 20-acre area (4 parcels) to assist in the annual training of fire prevention officials in the proper procedures to determine the cause and origin of vegetation fires. The project site is in El Dorado Hills, CA west of Sacramento on the south side of Highway 50 and west of Latrobe Road, at 4680 Golden Foothill Parkway, El Dorado Hills, CA (Station 87). Approximately 1/4 of the property is developed into a Fire Station with associated infrastructure and the remaining property is grassland. Prior to burning operations, preparation of the area would consist of hand crew construction of a 3-foot wide fire control line around the entire burn perimeter to ensure no fire escapes.
