Document Description
The Oceano Dunes District, working in conjunction with the California Geologic Survey and private air pollution control experts, will install two wind monitoring stations within Oceano Dunes SVRA and one station on a property owned by the California Department of Forestry (CalFire) at their Nipomo Station. Two stations will be installed using a large telephone pole placed into the ground with heavy equipment in areas of the park open to riding and camping year round. Up to three anemometers (windmill style aerovan) will be installed on both poles at 2, 7 and 10 meters. Both poles will have data loggers and may also be fenced to prevent vandalism.
