Document Description
The San Joaquin County District Attorney's Victim Witness Assistance Program is committed to providing comprehensive services to all victims of violent crime in San Joaquin County. The program has been operational for over twenty-nine years and has included crime scene crisis intervention for the past twenty-five years. The main office is centrally located in Stockton, CA at the courthouse and there are two satellite offices located in the Stockton Police Departments Investigations Division and in the Sheriff's Department Investigations Division. Funding for this program comes from CalEMA and includes federal VOCA and VAWA stimulus funds. Staffing for the program has never exceeded nine full time equivalent employees and that level of staffing is not expected to change as a result of this funding.
