The goals of this agreement are to 1) validate a decision support tool developed by PIER that is designed to provide a technically robust environmental analysis land areas, communicate the analysis to stakeholders, and facilitate siting new renewable energy and supporting transmission line developments in California and 2) meet the goal of Public Resource Code 25620.1(b)(4) (SB 1250) to advance electricity technologies that reduce or eliminate consumption of water or other finite resources, increase use of renewable energy resources, or improve transmission or distribution of electricity generated from renewable energy resources.
