The purpose of the project is to find the best possible solution to the community's water problem. Several alternatives are being considered such as a new source of water or treatment. The study would incorporate inspecting the two existing wells, determining an appropriate location of a new well and drilling a test well. Additional alternatives would be to connect to other systems, including the city of Ceres, drilling well outside of the district, and constructing a new well inside the district on a lot offered by Stanislaus County.
