The Hi Desert-Leatherneck Subtransmission Line will consist partly of a new line and partly of reconfigured existing line. The Project will result in impacts to 289.07 acres of desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) habitat, including temporary impacts to 285.48 acres and permanent removal of 3.59 acres. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of desert tortoise, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA).
