The Fairfield Train Station Specific Plan proposes the development of a transit-oriented community. The Specific Plan would designated nearly 60% of the Specific Plan area as open space. The focal point of the Specific Plan is the train station, location at the intersection of Peabody and Vanden Road. The train station has already been approved. Up to 3,000 dwelling units would be located within a one-half mile radius of the station.
