GP Des: Alameda Point Civic Core (AP1), Alameda Point Inner Harbor (AP2), and Alameda Point Marina (AP3) Zoning: General Industrial (Manufacturing) District and Special Government Combining District (M-2-G) The city has determined that this zoning must be amended to conform with the General Plan Land Use: The project is located within two redevelopment areas formed by the Community Improvement Commission of the City of Alameda ("CIC"), a redevelopment agency formed by the City under state law. Most of project site is located within a redevelopment area known as Alameda Point Community Improvement Plan for the Alameda Point Improvement Project. A small portion of land in the northeastern corner of the Plan Area falls within a redevelopment area established by the CIC as the Business and Waterfront Improvement Project. Redevelopment of the site will be consistent with Redevelopment Plans.
Document Description
The Alameda Point Project proposes to redevelop a portion of the decommissioned naval air station into a new, mixed-use community with residential, commercial, retail, hotel, civic, public trust, marina and park land uses.
