Document Description
The District is proposing to construct a new alternative school on 2 acres in the City of East Palo Alto. This site can accommodate a possible charter school or other districts school programs in East Palo Alto. East Palo Alto is part of the Sequoia Union School District, and this new school will only serve the East Palo Alto community. The project is a 2 story school campus, ultimately serving a maximum of 250 students and 25 faculty and staff. Completion of the campus is expected in 2011. The campus will be two, two story modular buildings totaling 21,150 sf, and a one-and-a-half story modular multipurpose bldg. The classrooms will contain 10 classrooms, library, teachers lounge, restrooms, administration office, and storage. One of these classrooms will be a modest science laboratory.
