The proposed project involves a request to allow the establishment of 3 exploratory natural gas wells. The proposed well site is located ~5 miles northeast of the City of Oakley, on Jersey Island, in Contra Costa County. The proposed well site is located in a cattle-grazing area ~0.8 miles northwest of Jackass Point. The False River is also located ~500 ft north of the project site. Access to the northern boundary of the project site is available via a farm access road that descends from the levee road and runs along the False River. The levee road leads into Jersey Island Road ~2 miles southwest of the project site. The 210 acre property is owned by the Ironhouse Sanitary District.
