The General Plan is a long-term policy document that establishes direction to guide future land use decision, a framework to ensure the character and quality of development desired by the community, and the processes by which development and land use changes will take place. The City's current General Plan was adopted in 1993. In 2007, the City began the process of comprehensively updating the General Plan.
