Document Description
The project applicant is proposing a Specific Plan for the Los Alamitos Medical Center campus. The Medical Center is envisioned to be a safe, attractive, well-designed medical center where surrounding residents of all ages can obtain valuable medical treatment and care. The proposed Specific Plan for the Medical Center campus includes a 3 phase master planned expansion estimated to be constructed over a 25 yr period. The Specific Plan will include the provision of an additional 164 hospital beds, 2 new hospital buildings, 1 new medical office building to be used for additional outpatient and associated medical uses, and an additional 849 parking spaces than what currently exists on the campus. It is anticipated that 4 new structures will be constructed on the 18.3 gross acre Medical Center campus and built over a 25 yr period.
