Document Description
In 2005, the Orange County Water District approved the North Basin Groundwater Protection Project within the cities of Anaheim and Fullerton. The NBGPP system would extract contaminated groundwater through extraction wells, convey the groundwater to a treatment plant, and ultimately recharge the treated water back into the groundwater basin. Based on the results of the water quality testing, site investigations, preliminary engineering, and a request from the City of Fullerton since approving the NBGPP, OCWD is proposing four modifications to the NBGPP to improve the operation, system reliability and cost-effectiveness of NBGPP's containment and treatment of groundwater contamination, and to further reduce impacts to Placentia Basin.
