Document Description
The proposed project consists of 3 phases: Phase I would consist of the main building which would include ~23,221 sf of space devoted to a pilot food processing plant, food safety research labs, food engineering, product development and packaging. Phase II would be a separate two to three story building tot he south of the main building and would total ~25,217 sf. This building would house the future Institute for Climate Change, Oceans and Atmosphere (ICOA) Center. Phase III would include the expansion to the east of the pilot plant in the main building of ~10,000 sf. The total square footage of the proposed project (58,438 sf) has been rounded to 58,500 sf for the purpose of this analysis.
