Document Description
The project proposes to widen Brookhurst Street from a four-lane facility to a six-lane facility, including three northbound through lanes and two southbound through lanes transitioning to three southbound through lanes midway between Chanticleer Road and Cerritos Avenue. In order to accommodate the additional lanes in the northbound and southbound directions as well as the proposed bikeways, sidewalks, and landscaped areas, the project proposes to shift the roadway centerline between 4 and 20 feet to the east and widen the roadway right-of-way from 100 to 142 feet at its widest point. The project would require 23 full and 2 partial properly acquisition totaling 179,145sf along the eastern side of the street within the City of Anaheim jurisdiction and 10 partial property acquisitions along the western side of Brookhurst Street, within the County of Orange and totaling 10,873sf.
