Document Description
The proposed underground water lines will improve the efficiency of the campus' chilled water loops by connecting the eatern loop to the western loop. In addition, the Events Center's chilled water system will be removed and the building will be connected to the loop.

Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project would be trenching, installing underground water pipes, and backfilling in an area with previous and planned development. Construction and/or operation of the chilled water loop connection would not cause impacts to biological resources, traffic, noise, air quality, or water quality. The project would increase the efficiency of the water chilling system. The project would not increase the capacity of the water chilling system, and therefore would be exempt from CEQA in accordance with Section 15061(b)(2).
