Document Description
The California Department of Public Health is a responsible agency for this project. The City of El Monte proposes to lower the concentration of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and Nitrate levels, which exceed the Maximum Contaminant Level, at Well No. 3. Well No. 3 will utilize 1,200 gpm granular activated carbon treatment vessels to remove the VOC. The water will be connected through approximately one mile of pipeline to Well No. 2A and blended to reduce the high nitrate concentration.
