Document Description
The project involves decommissioning and replacing the existing wind farm. All 438 existing turbines and related infrastructure, as well as 286 additional turbine foundations, would be removed. The existing turbines would be replaced with either 35 Siemens 2.3 megawatt (MW) turbines or 50 General Electric 1.5 MW turbines. The existing Jackson Substation would be upgraded. Existing onsite access roads no longer required for the new project would be removed and restored to pre-project conditions through regarding and revegetation. Site access improvements would also occur at two locations on Vasco Road, one of which is in Alameda County.
