- West Hills Community College District plans to expand the Firebaugh campus. The existing structure will be demolished and replaced with a parking area. A new, two level facility will be located southeast of the present campus, and will include classrooms, administrative space, a library, bookstore, lecture hall, and laboratory, and a plaza that will incorporate the existing outdoor seating area. The expanded Project site will be ~1 acre, and is anticipated to serve ~1,200 students (600 existing plus 600 projected new students).
