- Document Description
- The City of Arvin and the Arvin Community Redevelopmen Agency desire to amend the existing Arvin Redevelopment Project ("Amendment No. 1"). Amendment No. 1 proposes to: 1) add 192.5 acres of territory to the existing Project Area; and 2) reinstate the Agency's eminent domain authority on non-residential land in the existing Project Area. The purpose of the Amendment No. 1 is to eliminate the conditions of physical and economic blight that exist in the Added Area and the existing Project Area, together known as the Amendment Area. This will involve the creation of programs to eliminate physical and economic blight, fund infrastructure improvements, and provide incentives that will stimulate economic revitalization of the Amendment Area. The proposed actions are all being taken in accordance with the provisions of the California Community Redevelopment Law, Health and Safety Code Section 33000, et seq.
