Document Description
The proposed project involves adoption of the City of Gustine 2009-2014 Housing Element. State Housing Element Law requires that Housing Elements throughout the State be updated by each local jurisdiction in California every 5 years. This Element must be updated and certified by State HCD for compliance with State Housing Law by August 31, 2009. In general, this is a policy document. The proposed update includes policies and programs developed to encourage the construction of affordable housing as required by the California Department of Housing and Community Development. The Element includes research data and descriptive information on housing and population characteristics, a housing needs assessment, an analysis of land svailable, and housing contraints. The Element also includes an evaluation of the previous 2002 Housing Element.
