Document Description
The applicant proposes to create a Class One multipurpose trail, approximately 425 ft in length, along the Salinas River channel. The trail would be 12 ft wide, including an 8 ft wide concrete main path and 2 ft wide shoulders, and located along the outer right-side edge (looking downstream) of the channel, immediately below South River Road. Portions of the bank would be excavated to install short retaining walls at some locations along the trail. Riparian vegetation such as willows, poison oak, coyote brush, and other vegetation would be trimmed and one mature willow tree would be removed to accommodate the trail. Equipment used will include backhoes, graders, concrete trucks, and similar equipment.
