Document Description
The project will allow for the treatment of medical waste within an existing industrial building. The property is currently improved with an existing 15,076 sf industrial building on a 34,127 sf lot. This proposed project is to allow the treatment of medical waste chemically, utilizing a Trinova machine, which is an approved Alternative Treatment method by the California Department of Public Health. The machine shreds the waste, treats it chemically and produces material that is the equivalent of solid waste. Operation of the facility is required to comply with the Medical Waste Management Act. The treated medical waste is then transported from the project site to a landfill.
