Solargen Energy proposes to construct and operate a 420 MW photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant in the Panoche Valley, an unincorporated portion of southeastern San Benito County. The proposed project would include solar arrays, an electric substation, and operations and maintenance facilities that would cover nearly 2,500 acres. The project boundary would encompass 4,885 acres, and project development would allow for flood-plain areas between solar arrays to remain undeveloped within the project boundary. The project would be developed in 5 phases.
