To improve Siempre Verde Park with the following design changes: a walking path around the perimeter of the park; and exercise "cluster" with a variety of fitness equipment for ages 12 and up age-separated playgrounds connected by an overhead shade structure; swings in proximity to the other play areas; half court basketball courts with a backwall to provide multifunctional capabilities (for use as a handball court, etc.); areas for passive recreation, such as a quiet space with a sensory garden; a lawn space in the center of the park for multiple uses; small picnic areas with no more than two tables in each location; and game tables.
The proposed activity is a rehabilitation of an existing urban park. There is no expansion of the park and the park has been in use at this location for many years. As such, there are no significant environmental resources affected by this action or any significant environmental impacts. The activities generally only require simple ministerial building permits.
