Note: Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) Under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation & Liability Act (CERCLA), the Natural Resource Trustree Agencies (Trustees), including the California Department of Fish and Game, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, prepared the Castro Cove/Chevron Richmond Refinery Final DARP/EA. The DARP/EA assesses damages and evaluates restoration alternatives for the natural resource injuries incurred from the historical releases of contaminants from the Chevron refinery in Richmond, California. The DARP/EA describes the selected restoration alternative comprised of two restoration actions to restore tidal and subtidal habitats and compensate for the injured habitats in Castro Cove.
