Document Description
Note: Review per lead Construction of an education building and outdoor exhibit area with associated landscaping and amenities. The proposed Education Center would be approximately 50,979 square feet in size and approximately 16 in height above the existing grade (31 feet above the proposed finished grade). In addition to interior space for operations and exhibits related to the education and animal care facility, the building would include a multipurpose theatre space. The project also includes a 16-foot tall, 900 square-foot "Outpost Building" that would serve as an information and interpretative station for the site, as well as storage and public restroom facility. Both buildings would feature "green" roofs, which would be accessible from public areas surrounding the buildings. The proposed project would be located on approximately 14 acres of the 26.4 acre site.
