Document Description
The proposed project will eliminate parking in the sloped, icy in the winter, area in front of the school. The parking area will be replaced by a walkway for students and visitors that gradually steps down to the lower area of the site. The walkway will include access to a new bus loading/unloading lane along Grove Street which will allow buses to park directly in front of the school. To provide sufficient on-site parking, a new parking area will be created in the lower flat area of the site with the perimeter of the parking lot dedicated to parent pick-up and drop-off. The new parking lot will replace the existing tennis courts. The primary purpose of the project is to eliminate, or at least alleviate, several safety concerns and annoyances which currently exist at the site. The beneficiaries of the safety improvements will be students, parents, staff and visitors to the campus during the school year.
