Document Description
Installation of a five-foot wide sidewalk that starts at Estabueno Way and extends approximately 1000 feet to an existing sidewalk that ends near Ivy Drive. The paved shoulder in this area of Moraga Way has high commute time usage by students walking to school and also other pedestrians in the residential area. Miremonte High School is located at Ivy Drive. There is a County Connection bus stop at Estabueno Drive providing access to the high school and homes in the area. The sidewalk will provide a safe route to school by providing separation from vehicle traffic and a defend walking area. No sidewalk exists on either side of Moraga Way. The project also will include construction minor drainage facilities and 100 linear feet of low retaining wall to support the sidewalk where necessary.

The project consists of the minor alteration of an existing roadway, sidewalk and topographical features with negligible expansion of use beyond that of the existing structures. The project consists of minor public alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry purposes. Project location is not located in environmentally sensitive area and the project is consistent with the provisions of Section 15301 and 15304.
