Document Description
The American River Conservancy is seeking $1,000,000 in Sierra Nevada Conservancy Proposition 84 funding to acquire 272 acres of the Gold Hill Ranch to conserve both natural and cultural resources. The Sierra Nevada Conservancy funds will be matched by $2.29 million from private donors and other Federal grant money towards the purchase of the land. The purchase would protect approximately 0.97 mile of tributary stream, 40 acres of wetlands and 120 acres of valley and blue oak woodlands.
