Document Description
The project is the removal of perennial pepperweed, which is an invasive exotic plant that has formed pure stands on approximately two acres of habitat at Fort Tejaon SHP. Perennial pepperweed displaces native species in two sensitive habitats, yerba mansa meadow and riparian woodland. Perennial pepperweed will be controlled by first removing dead woody stems by hand in the fall, followed by herbicide treatment using Rodeo (Glyphosate; approved for use near water in California).
