Note: Review Per Lead The Napa River and Bay Trail Project is proposal to construct a multi-use trail (hiking and bicycling) public trail that will provide the only trail link between the cities of American Canyon and Napa. The train will provide exceptional bird viewing, as well as interpretation and educational opportunities. The segment that stretches from Soscol Ferry Road, a public way, and from Anselmo Court, a public way. A pedestrian gate will be constructed at Soscol Ferry Road to get around a border fence on the property of Napa Sanitation District. A 6 ft security fence will be installed where the trail is adjacent to the railroad tracks. A 4 strand wire wildlife fence will be installed to protect wetland areas. The trail alignment runs along Soscol Ferry Road, crosses under Highway 29 on land owned by Caltrans, and proceeds north on land owned by VCC-Napa, also known as the Napa Valley Corporate Park, and Napa Redevelopment Partners. The trail will be 8 ft wide and constructed out of stabilized quarry which is a semi-permeable, stable surface.
