Document Description
The project proposes to construct a 60kV Silicon Valley Power (SVP) electrical primary substation and associated electrical equipment as conditioned under a Use Permit in the Light Industrial Zoning District. The two-bay substation (two 50m VA 60kV-12kV step-down transformers) would have an all weather asphalt surface. A concrete masonry unit screen wall, 11 ft in height, would surround the substation. The substation would connect to existing 60kV overhead lines located over the eastern portion of the site. Electrical power from the substation would be distributed through 12 kV underground distribution lines. Surrounding properties are developed with industrial and commercial uses, internet data centers to the east, west, and south; retail furniture store to southwest, and a 6 acre SVP electrial receiving station is located across Space Park Drive to the north.
