Document Description
The project is a revision to the previously Oilfield project, described in the DEIR (submitted for public review 10/6/2010 through 12/6/2010). The revised project incorporates aspects of the environmentally superior project alternative and is being proposed by the applicant in order to reduce areas of disturbance and potentially significant environmental impacts. The revised project will consist of wells, oil processing, gas plant, oil and gas pipelines, and oil truck loading facilities, to be located within portions of the 1,290-acre City owned Whittier Main Field, now part of the Authority Habitat Preserve. The oil and gas production and processing facilities will be physically located at a central Consolidated Site within the Whittier Main Oil Field. The site encompasses ~ 6.9 acres.
