Document Description
SANDAG proposes to increase freight rail capacity from 2 to 4 trains per night on the South Line segment of the existing SD&AE Railroad Mainline between the San Diego and San Ysidro yards in San Diego. Current freight operations on the South Line are only allowed to occur during a 2.5 hour period when the MTS Blue Line trolley is not in service. This "window" is typically from 1:30 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. Monday through Saturday morning, with an existing additional southbound freight move allowed beginning at ~12:55 a.m.
