Document Description
This project is part of a larger rehabilitation program on the trolley system to provide Low Floor Light Rail Vehicle (LFLRV) access on the Blue Line between Old Town and San Ysidro Transit Centers, and the Orange Line between 12th & Imperial Avenue Transit Center and Santee. Station improvements may include: raising platforms to 8" above the top of rail platform; lowering track; reducing ballast section; and/or replacing existing track with LR52 rail to accommodate LFLRVs. Station improvements may also include site work for drainage and ADA accessibility, revisions to existing landscaping and utilities, reinstallation of station amenitites, installation of new detecable warning paves, and communication upgrades (conduit, variable message signs, speckers, etc.).
