This project is part of a larger rehabilitation program on the trolley system to provide Low Floor Light Rail Vehicle (LFLRV) access on the Blue Line between Old Town and San Ysidro Transit Centers, and the Orange Line between 12th and Imperial Avenue Transit Center and Santee. These enhancements are necessary to install crossovers and traction power section insulation assemblies to insure the operation schedule is maintained for the future rehabilitation of the Blue Line. This project may entail the replacement of highway grade crossing mechanisms with the current standard, demolition of existing freight tracks, and sign replacement. Installation will require some minor trenching.
